St. Andrews church was consecrated on 12 August 1822, and a celebration of the bicentenary was held on 14 August 2022 on the site of the earlier church.
The event was lead by Revd. Paul Langham, Vicar of Christ Church, Revd. Charles Sutton, Area Dean for Bristol West, and Councillor Paula O'Rourke, Lord Mayor of Bristol. James Gibb read a brief history of the church written by Caroline Melvin. Michael Bothamley read an account of the WW2 bombing of St Andrews Church written by his father Henry Bothamley in a letter to his friend Delmar Banner. The Hounds of Lounge (Joanna Swan and Nick Pullin) provided music, with "Amazing Grace" sung by Rebecca Gibbs.
