Avon Wildlife Trust manage 30 reserves for wildlife and people across the west of England. They are providing us with guidance on best practice for managing and improving the biodiversity of the churchyard.

Caring for God's Acre works nationally to support groups and individuals to investigate, care for, and enjoy churchyards and burial grounds. Lots of useful information and resources.

An initiative by Somerset Wildlife Trust, supporting communities to get to know the wildlife in their local churchyard or burial ground, and working together to find ways to increase the value of these special places for wildlife.

CHIS was founded in 1968, with the aims of improving amenities, preserving the best features and maintaining the quality of life within the area. With a millennium grant at the start of this century they undertook valuable work in the churchyard and along Birdcage Walk, painting the fences, improving access by inserting gates, and planting shrubs and trees.
